We had breakfast to start which was really great. We were then booked on for wine tasting for a birthday. Max, who did the tour was brilliant. Made things interesting, very easy going and made it thoroughly enjoyable. Wine was very good, great location and lovely staff. Had a brilliant time.
Went for our 1st breakfast at Hencote, genuinely surprised. On a par in terms of pricing with similar venues. But the menu had some new ideas which was really welcome. Our waitress Xavia was lovely, on the ball, polite and with a great smile. Will defo have a breakfast there again. Please note we did not stay over, this was just a visit for breakfast.
We had an incredible wine tasting with Max today. The experience was wonderful, featuring stunning views, exceptional wines, and a highly informative tasting session. We’ll definitely be back!
A beautiful location for wine tasting and lunch! We tasted 6 wines and enjoyed lunch afterwards - the wines were wonderful - beautifully made and the host, Max (or Matt?) was very knowledgeable and informative. Lunch was well made, well priced and served with a view that was second to none. We had a wonderful experience!
Really impressed with our visit to Hencote. The customer service was exceptional – the staff were so attentive and friendly. The food was lovely as well, really enjoyed our meals. Made for a fantastic experience overall. Definitely recommend!
Went to the restaurant for lunch, never been before. It was lovely. Floor to ceiling windows looking out over the vineyard and the wider scenery. Food was good if the service was a bit relaxed. Didn't matter to us but then we weren't in a hurry because it was my birthday. Maitre d' did check if we had a busy day so I think they would have speeded up if we'd needed it. Waitress was very pleasant. Drank their home produced wine and bought a bottle to bring home. Five stars from me.
Had lunch in the winter terrace and it was lovely. The views are stunning and the staff are welcoming and super friendly. Didn’t even know the place existed but already talking about our next visit. Can’t wait.
Spent a wonderful afternoon here for my birthday yesterday. Fantastic wines, delicious nibbles and lovely views. A huge thanks to Samira who greeted us on arrival, checked in on us throughout the time we were there and generally made us feel really welcome - she really made the whole experience perfect!
